Maybe not. If your usage is mostly daytime and modest, more panels can beat a battery on value. If you use a lot of power at night, are on the right tariff, or want blackout backup, a battery can make a big difference. We work it out from your actual bills, and we do tell people when a battery isn't worth it for them.

Standard solar shuts off in a blackout — that's a safety requirement, and plenty of people only find out when the power's off. If backup matters to you, tell us early: the system needs to be designed for it (battery with backup capability, and deciding which circuits stay on). It needs to be planned from the start.

Licensed electricians who are accredited solar and battery installers. Every job gets a Certificate of Electrical Safety and an independent inspection. Lachlan has installed these systems himself and checks the work. One customer had his electrician mate inspect our work; the verdict was "bloody good work."

It's an upfront discount on the battery, with no application needed: it comes through us and is its own line on your quote. Since May 2026 most of the discount sits on the first 14 kWh, and the rate steps down every six months. On a 50 kWh battery installed in late 2026 it's about $6,790. Yes — and it matters more than most people think. The same system on the wrong plan can perform hundreds of dollars a year worse. We'll help you pick a plan that suits your system and how you use power, and set you up to get the most out of it. What suits you depends on your setup — it's part of the design conversation, not one-size-fits-all.

Both. Adding a battery to existing solar is common — we'll check what your current system can support first. And sometimes the right answer is that your existing system just isn't set up properly: we've found misconfigured settings from previous installers and handed the customer a fix list instead of a quote, free. If that's your situation, that's what you'll get.
